Terms & Conditions

One Hour Husband
By booking or requesting services from One Hour Husband, the client agrees to the following terms and conditions.

1. Scope of Services

One Hour Husband provides professional handyman services within a clearly defined scope, including but not limited to:

  • furniture assembly

  • TV mounting on drywall or wood studs only

  • wall décor and shelving installation

  • grill assembly

  • selected minor household repairs

Services do not include structural work, electrical, plumbing, tile, stone, concrete, ceiling mounting, or uneven / unsafe surfaces unless explicitly agreed in writing.

2. Pricing Policy

  • All prices are quoted based on the described scope of work.

  • The quoted price will never increase unless the scope of work changes.

  • If additional tasks are requested on site, they will be treated as extras and priced separately.

  • If the final scope is reduced, the total price may be adjusted downward.

You are not paying for time —
you are paying for accuracy, responsibility, and predictable results.

3. Inspection Before Installation

  • Before furniture assembly or TV installation begins:

  • The product will be visually inspected for visible damage, missing parts, or manufacturing defects.

  • If damage or missing components are discovered:

  • Client options:

  • Proceed with installation anyway

  • Full service price applies.

  • Decline installation to exchange damaged parts or product

  • A $50 service call / trip fee applies, even if installation is not performed.

  • This fee covers travel time, scheduling, and reserved appointment time.

4. Client-Provided Materials & Requirements

  • For TV mounting, the client must provide the wall-mount bracket.

  • One Hour Husband does not supply TV brackets unless explicitly agreed in advance.

5. Hardware Usage Policy

  • Installation is performed using hardware included by the manufacturer, such as bolts, screws, anchors, and mounting components supplied with the product.

6. Use of Existing or Client-Supplied Hardware

  • If the client requests use of:

  • existing wall-mount brackets

  • previously installed hardware

  • reused bolts, anchors, or fasteners

  • the client accepts full responsibility for the condition, strength, age, and integrity of such hardware.

7. Limitation of Hardware Liability

One Hour Husband is not responsible for:

  • hardware failure

  • wall-mount bracket breakage

  • metal fatigue or hidden defects

  • manufacturer defects or recalls

  • failure of reused or third-party hardware

Including but not limited to situations where:

  • a bracket separates or collapses

  • mounting arms fail

  • anchors or bolts shear, crack, or pull out

  • mounted items fall due to hardware failure

Responsibility lies with:

  • the hardware manufacturer

  • the retailer or seller

  • or the client who chose to reuse the hardware

The service provided is labor only, not a warranty of hardware quality.

8. Refusal or Recommendation Rights

If existing or supplied hardware appears unsafe:

  • replacement may be recommended.

If the client chooses to proceed against professional recommendation:

  • installation may be declined, or

  • installation may proceed entirely at the client’s risk.

9. Wall Drilling & Surface Disclaimer

When drilling into walls, vibration may cause:

  • minor paint cracking

  • drywall surface imperfections

  • cosmetic defects near or around drill points

Such effects are a natural and unavoidable part of drilling, even when performed correctly.

This may also occur in adjacent areas or neighboring units.

One Hour Husband is not responsible for cosmetic wall, paint, or drywall repairs resulting from drilling vibration.

10. Schedule Adjustments

  • Arrival times are approximate.

  • The service provider may arrive earlier or later due to traffic, extended prior jobs, or unforeseen circumstances.

If a schedule change does not work for the client:

  • the appointment may be cancelled without penalty.

11. Provider Cancellation Rights

One Hour Husband reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an appointment at any time for operational, safety, or personal reasons.

  • Any deposit or prepayment will be fully refunded.

  • No penalties apply to the service provider.

12. Reimbursements

  • Any materials purchased on behalf of the client must be approved in advance.

  • Reimbursement is based strictly on actual receipts.

13. Booking & Communication

  • Estimates are free.

  • Appointments are typically scheduled in advance.

  • Same-day availability is limited.

  • Card authorization may be required to protect against no-shows and late cancellations.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a service, submitting a request, or allowing work to begin, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
